Bobby Woods artist Biography

Bobby Woods was born in New Jersey and grew u in Main and Vermont.  He learned to play guitar and sing while in the United States Navy and did spend ten years playing in Nashville.  There he recorded one album and two singles for Epic records while traveling on the road with artists such as Jim Ed Brown and Del Reeves.

Later on Bobby flew bush planes in Canada for 3 years, served as a prison guard, and after moving back to the states drove big rigs.  In 1993 he moved back to Colorado and married his wife Betty Ann.  They then started their own trucking company together until severe medical complications caused bankruptcy and retirement.  Bobby has taught himself woodcarving and is doing pieces for and with Sandman Candles.  A love of art of all genres permeates Bobby, especially for paintings in oils and acrylics.  Bobby says that: "...of all the places I have ever been, Fort Collins, Colorado is the most artistic and beautiful place I have ever known; I have finally found a place to settle for life."
