Brenda Stewart was born and raised in West Palm Beach, Florida.  After leaving home at the age of 20, she spent time traveling in The Bahamas and lived in Puerto Rico for almost a year before returning to the United States, where she spent time in Virginia, Washington State and Wyoming before moving to Fort Collins, Colorado in 1989.

In 1999 Brenda met Larry Page (The Sandman).  She started out decorating candles for Larry but knew that she had a love of wood, painting and many other artistic ventures that she had never tried to accomplish.  When she was a child, she had already developed a love of wood from her father who was a master woodworker.  She also remembered having seen wonderful portraits of her father, grandmother and other people and things, which she later learned had been done by her mother (who has passed away when Brenda was only 10).  When Larry presented her with a wood burner for Christmas in 2003, it was finally the start of her own knowledge that she also had a gift.  Since then she has continued to draw, paint and wood burn and is still looking for more new ways to express her love for art.
