While the Sandman does the wax work, there are often many other
contributors to the finished product. Notice the burn work on the
gourds, the painting on the waterfalls and hats, the form of the driftwood,
and the woodcarvings interspersed throughout the Sandman's work. In the
woodwork section you will find
several special pieces to which the Sandman has contributed and are currently
for sale. You will also find a section on Bobby Woods
who works primarily with wood.
The sandman looks for the inspiration from nature to make his pieces. These pictures show another side of the Master Chandler as he finds pieces of wood to use in future candles you see on this site. Most of the driftwood has a long process ahead of it before it actually makes the final cut and treatment and is put into one of the Sandman's creations. |
